5 Entrepreneur Podcasts That Will Change Your Life!
Podcasts are an incredible resource, and not just for entrepreneurs. With over 250,000 individual podcast shows on iTunes and more than 1 billion subscribers if you haven’t joined the throng you are truly missing out! But before I delve too deeply into some of the best entrepreneur podcasts, I will start with the basics.
What Is a Podcast?
Put simply, a podcast is a digital audio file that you can download onto your computer or smartphone and listen to in the same way you do a song. The main difference, however, is that a podcast episode is usually one in a series/show that regularly puts out new episodes. By using an app such as the podcasts app in the iTunes store users are able to subscribe to the shows they like. The app will automatically download new episodes when they become available, and alert the user of the episode. Make sense?
iPod + broadcast = Podcast
Think of it like a digital radio show (broadcast) that is on demand. You can choose which episodes you want to download and listen to, and anyone is free to produce their own show. Not to mention you don’t actually need an iPod or Apple device to listen to them.
How Do I Use Them?
To get started podcasting is incredibly easy. Simply go the app store on your device and search for ‘podcasts’ if you are using an android device, or follow this link. If you use an iOS (Apple) phone the podcast app comes pre-installed. Once you have the app open on your device, simply hit search! You can look for a specific podcast show, or start with a genre and go from there. Once you find a show that you enjoy, hit subscribe and you’ll automatically receive new episodes as they become available. Now that you know how podcasting works, it’s time I listed 5 entrepreneur podcasts that have to become part of your repertoire.
The Top 5 Entrepreneur Podcasts
1. MLM Nation
Hosted by Simon Chan- a 7 figure per year earner in network marketing, MLM Nation interviews other top earners in the industry. Simon is incredibly passionate, putting out 3 episodes per week, and MLM Nation episodes typically follow the same structure:
- It starts with a bio about the person being interviewed, and how long they’ve been involved in Network Marketing.
- You learn about their ups and downs in the profession. You’ll also gain personal insight into how they created their success and hear some recommendations.
- It concludes with a series of hard-hitting questions. This helps to find out how they stay motivated, their best and worst moments in Network Marketing, and most importantly- what they would do if they had to start all over again.
This entrepreneur podcasts charm is that it isn’t just for network marketing or people interested in the industry. A lot of episodes focus on the mindset it takes to create success and truly highlights the habits of highly successful people. As a result, this high energy podcast gives you insider access to learn from the people who have already achieved their success.

3. Marketing School
Number 3 of the entrepreneur podcasts I wanted to share with you is Marketing School hosted by Neil Patel and Eric Siu. Chances are if you’re into success and entrepreneurship you have seen advertisements from Neil Patel on Facebook. He is one of the modern day kings of online advertising, marketing, and content creation strategies. The great thing about this podcast is that the episodes are short (less than 10 minutes). Not to mention the hosts share the real tools they use to help increase their website traffic, improve their SEO, and create marketing strategies that convert into sales.
In fact, I got most of the tools I wrote about in 3 (and a Half) Awesome Writing Tools to Improve Your Skills from a Marketing School podcast. So whether you’re a traditional business owner, building a website, or trying to create an online income stream, this is one of the must listen to entrepreneur podcasts!
4. Self Made Man
I first came across Mike Dillard, the host of Self Made Man after reading his book- Magnetic Sponsoring: How To Attract Endless New Leads And Distributors To You Automatically. In fact, that book was a large part of the inspiration that went into creating Skellern Success. Mike Dillard began his career as an entrepreneur in Network Marketing. After sky-rocketing to becoming one of the top earners in his company, he used that income to launch a series of training and coaching programs. Since then, he has invested his time and money into disrupting the food industry by developing a revolutionary hydroponics system. And while I think he could smile a little more in photos, he definitely earns his place with one of the top entrepreneur podcasts on the market.
Mikes show is rated as one of the top self-help podcasts on iTunes, and interviews industry and thought leaders across an incredibly broad range of topics. From authors to athletes, astronauts to army personnel, he even shows you how you can hire the smartest people in the world to solve your problems. The shows cover everything from blog development and viral videos to productivity hacks, communication skills and surviving a zombie apocalypse. So tune into Self Made Man to learn skills you didn’t know you needed, and broaden your conversational horizons.
5. Foundr Magazine Podcast
Last but not least, the Foundr Magazine show is one of the best entrepreneur podcasts for start-ups, revenue raising, and modern day success giants. As an off-shoot of the Foundr Magazine, and hosted by Australian-born Nathan Chan, the podcast is the perfect starting point for aspiring entrepreneurs with episodes focused on helping you to get your ideas off the ground. Moreover, you’ll learn about raising capital, crowd-funding and implementing systems that will lead to long-term success.
This entrepreneur podcast has a particular focus on the success of Gen Y (which Nathan Chan is a part of) and interviews high profile business leaders and entrepreneurs, teaching you how to use social media campaigns and analysing the psychology of marketing to increase your reach and create global success.
